How to Install BHIM App in Android/ IOS/ Windows Phones?

  • First of all download the BHIM App from the above link
  • Now choose your desired language. You can choose either Hindi or English as per the convenience and compatibility with the language.
  • Push the “Next” button. After pushing “Next” button, the Apk will ask few permissions. Click on allow button every time they ask for.
  • Now it will ask you to verify your mobile number. If you are having dual sim mobile and using two sim cards at a time, in that case, tap to that number which has registered with the bank.
  • Next option will be Register passcode. You have to choose four digits password.
  • Select your bank from the given list. Name of all banks will be given alphabetically.
  • After selecting the bank, your account number will appear on your screen.
  • And lastly, tap on that account number and you are done.

How Does BHIM App Works?

After downloading & installing the BHIM App, first thing you have to do is register it with your bank account. Once you register it with the bank account, your UPI PIN will be generated. You UPI Pin will be your mobile number, say for instance if your mobile number is 9999000000 then your UPI Pin will be 999900000@upi. Your mobile number will be your payment address. You can send and receive money using UPI Pin. Mobile number is very personal thing, if you are hesitating to share it with an unknown payee, you can transfer your amount with the help of QR Code. QR code gives you the option of transfer of money between two individual without sharing your mobile number. Those banks which do not support UPI Code, you can make payment through using IFSC Code.

How to Send Money Using BHIM App:

Sending money with the help of BHIM App is very simple. For money transaction, you have three options Send (Via Mobile Number/ UPI ID), Request and Scan & Pay (QR Code). You can use either of these three way.

Transfer Money Using Mobile Number or UPI ID:

By using Send option, you can transfer your amount to a person you want to pay. Please follow the following steps:

  1. Tap on Send Button
  2. Enter Mobile Number or UPI ID of the payee
  3. Next option will be Amount, please enter the amount you want to pay the recipient
  4. Now enter your secret 6 digit UPI PIN
  5. Push on send Button, your transaction will be done

Transfer money through using Scan & Pay (QR Code):

If you don’t want to share your mobile Number with the recipient, Scan & Pay (QR Code) will be most suitable option for the mode of payment.

  1. Tap on Scan & Pay option
  2. Scan QR Code (You can scan QR Code directly from the Mobile of the recipient or printed QR Code on paper or board)
  3. Next option will be Amount, please enter the amount you want to pay the recipient
  4. Now enter your secret 6 digit UPI PIN
  5. Push on send Button, your transaction will be done

Transfer money using Request Option:

You can ask for money from somebody using BHIM Apk via “Request” option.

  1. Tap on Request Option
  2. Enter Mobile Number or UPI ID of the person you want to borrow the amount
  3. Enter the Amount

Sender will be notified immediately. To transfer the amount, only thing the sender has to do is Enter their secret 6 digit UPI PIN.
